Élégie pour Louise
It was through a "like" on the Artworks inspired by the music of Snorri Halmgrímson "Chasing the present" that I met Simon Leoza. I was quickly fascinated by his album albatross and the admiration being mutual he asked me to do an artwork for his next single.
It's a piece that Simon Leoza wrote for his grandmother's funeral in 2020. It was performed in a church and he imagined an artwork in the form of a stained glass window!
Élégie is a moving composition, like a last message of love sent to the beyond. Towards the end, a certain light touches the foreheads of those who remain. A prayer of thanks.
